Ms.Farida Lambay

Farida has 25 years of experience as an educationalist and social activist. She co-founded Pratham in 1994 and is responsible for the direct programs in Mumbai and Gujarat, as well as the Pratham Council for Vulnerable Children across India. In addition to her work at Pratham, she is a former Vice Principal, Nirmala Niketan College of Social Work, Mumbai.

She has been responsible for many progressive National Policy changes in education and child labour. She currently serves on the Government of India Committee on Child Labour& on Research in Education and was recently nominated as a member of the National Advisory Committee, under the Child Labour Prohibition and Regulation Act, 1986. She was also recently appointed as a member of the Maharashtra State Commission for the Protection of Child Rights.

In addition, Farida has initiated other projects such as Prerana (an organization working to protect children & women in the red light areas of Mumbai, YUVA (an organization working on various social issues taking strength from the youth) and others. She has spearheaded Disaster Relief efforts during the 1992 Bombay Riots, the Latur earthquake, Orissa cyclone, 26/11 Mumbai floods, Bihar floods, Mumbai terror attacks to name a few. She has been a part of several State and National Committees including the SSA (Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan), Sachar Committee, the Maharashtra State Security Council and others. She has attended and participated in several National and International Conferences and has many publications to her credit.

Ms.Shilpa Parab

Shilpa holds a Commerce degree from the Mumbai University and has a diploma in ‘Company and Personal Secretary’ from the SNDT University, Mumbai. She joined Pratham in 1997 as the Accounts Assistant and quickly moved on to become the Chief Accountant. She continued to head the Accounts Team till 2003.

From 2003, Shilpa started focusing on Program Strategy and Implementation. Currently, she heads the Urban Programs in Maharashtra. She is responsible for ensuring that the programs are implemented as per the project plans, organizational objectives and end goals. She is responsible for project development, donor management, financial planning, and sustainability of urban programs in Maharashtra. She is also responsible for program evaluation and monitoring, where she plays a key role in verifying and analyzing the field data; and presenting it to the management.

Mr.Kishor Bhamre

Kishor has been a part of Pratham for the last 14 years.He joined the organization in 2001 and went on to complete his Masters in Social Work (MSW) from Nirmala Niketan College of Social Work, Mumbai. He joined back in 2003 and has been associated with the organization since then. He is one of the key persons for setting up of Pratham Council for Vulnerable Children (PCVC) and its expansion into other states.

He is responsible for strategy planning and overall execution of Pratham Council for Vulnerable Children (PCVC) programs across 8 states in India. In addition, he is involved in advocacy initiatives and works closely with the State and Central Governments on key issues pertaining to child labour and child rights in India. He currently serves on various State and National Government committees on child labour and child protection. He also holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Resource Mobilization and Management from S.P. Jain Institute of Management & Research, Mumbai and a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from Nirmala Niketan College of Social Work, Mumbai.
