Thane Anganwadi Supervisor Training:
The training with the ICDS supervisors under the Thane District was conducted on the 17th of July 2018 at the Thane at the Thane Zilla Parishad office. It was attended by the Women and Child Welfare Officer for Thane District Mr. Santosh Bhosle. A total of 42 supervisors and 8 Child Development Protection Officers (C.D.P.O.) of the Anganwadi’s participated in this training. The training was conducted by the Pratham Staff with expertise in this field. The purpose of the training was to refresh the content and information provided in the previous training as well as to plan in detail the manner in which the supervisors will conduct the training for their respective anganwadis .
The Supervisors have to conduct the training of the Anganwadi teachers. They will plan each training taluka wise . After that they presented their plans for the three-day training plan, according to each taluka.
The plan for the next stage will include the Training of the Taluka In-Charge followed by the monitoring plan that he will follow in order to ensure the anganwadis are implementing the parents education program. The final part of the plan will be visits to the anganwadi teachers training at the taluka level by the Pratham Team. This will be to ensure that the anganwadi supervisors are conducting the training as per the content they received during their own training and that the anganwadi teachers have clearly understood all that has been taught to them.
